Catherine has represented a variety of manufacturers in asbestos and products liability personal injury cases, defending them as lead trial counsel and in consolidated trials that involved multiple plaintiffs. She has extensive experience in arguing asbestos-related cases in federal and state courts and before various supreme and appellate court bodies.

During her time at Brobeck, Vogel worked on asbestos cases, including those involving respondents in the Asbestos Claims Facility in Northern California. The cases files contained SEAR forms (Short Evaluative reports that are encapsulated) that contained confidential information about plaintiffs. These included medical reports, work histories, and an inventory of asbestos-related products that plaintiffs used or worked near. Vogel was required to have a password in order to access the files. She was then able to review any SEAR forms provided by her current employer.

The Bowles Rice Asbestos Team, in addition to its extensive experience in appellate and trial work, is recognized nationally for its ability to successfully reach settlements on behalf of its clients.
