Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations that are applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capability in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more marketable than the non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens
