Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be purchased in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to boost their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to the extent to which the success rates can be improved and the probability of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%..

The Luck of an item can influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and each item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects could be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
