Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations used.

For instance, the top shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, like an armor, weapon or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar item, with a different set of extra bonuses. Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by melee and weapons and spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.

There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to higher quality. To produce them, you require an upgrade level reroll token. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

Unlike other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the spot until the next Success result is rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Growthstones

Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by completing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". This will display a menu showing the item's current level and what it will be after being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
