Many studies have examined the use of ML to detect ADHD. The majority of them used MRI data. Other studies have investigated the use of eye movements. These methods have numerous advantages, including the accuracy and accessibility of EEG signals. However, these measures have limitations in sensitivity and specificity.

Researchers from Aalto University studied the eye movements of children in a virtual reality game. This was conducted to determine if a ML algorithm could differentiate between ADHD and normal children. The results demonstrated that machine learning algorithms could be used to recognize ADHD children.

Another study evaluated the effectiveness of different machine learning algorithms. The results revealed that random forest algorithms have a higher probability of robustness and lower probability of predicting errors. A permutation test also showed greater accuracy than randomly assigned labels.
