However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competitors' boxes this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive designs in our evaluations. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's more expensive and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to create a spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for greater efficiency. The app also grants access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. And you can set up a spot clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.
