Upgrades can boost the performance of a piece of gear and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements applied.

The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capability in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This swaps the current item for one of the same type with an additional set of bonuses. To upgrade gear players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade item an item will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
