World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done by any upgrader for items NPC.
Upgrades boost the stats of an item and add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is a key factor in keeping him safe from harm. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to improve its defence capabilities.
The principle of armour is to protect the person or animal from physical harm or injury whether from physical attack or from a range of dangers to the environment or activity. In the past, armour was typically made from fabric or leather however later, metal protections were also utilized for military purposes, particularly such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
Like weapons there are a variety of ways that armor can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different level of upgrade with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees as well as materials.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever which means that once they've been installed, they are not able to be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have all the components needed to complete them.
You can find the upgrades you require in a variety of places throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They are typically marked by a blue triangle or a gold circle symbol. They can be found in great quantities as you progress. Although they can appear randomly, there is an opportunity that acquiring certain upgrade items elements will lead to an adventure that rewards you with more.
It is also important to note that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that will protect against any kind of attack and will also protect against magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that make them unique. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats in order to adapt to your build and even unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, ammo types and more aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll need an upgrade component in place and the item itself. The weapon should also be above a certain level for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons only take one upgrade at a time.
You can find weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and from the hands of enemies, or they can be purchased from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a mix of components that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or additional effect while they're in use. They require the equipment to be of a certain degree to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used for enhancing the base stats of a weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They can also be obtained through combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.
It's crucial to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, then those you won't be replacing soon. If you're planning to play in a melee-based build, for instance upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders, then your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your style of play, certain procs will be more beneficial than others. The same goes for Armour and reforges, with some being superior to others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled, no more upgrades will be made for the item level upgrade. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but they can provide additional benefits.
A magical item is any item that has some special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they can also be shields, armors, cloaks and potions. They could also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.
Most magic items can enhance their capabilities. This could make them more beneficial to players or aid them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that is infused with an ingredient that is unique could offer, for instance, additional damage against a specific enemy type. This is especially useful for those who have reached a level where they're likely to face one type of monster in dungeons.
A ring infused with magic might grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or slash (excluding silvered attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is particularly useful for melee fighters or anyone looking to avoid buying a shield.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special powers that allow the character to cast spells in addition to those on their class's spell list. This is helpful for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted items generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on a table based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other items that can be enchanted may allow the player to change their appearance, or create a new appearance. They can be especially useful for those who have had to leave their home, or are in a situation that they aren't accepted. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to all other than a selected person.
Utility Items
Utility items are anything that isn't part of the categories of Clothing or Armor and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons they are not a single utility item that can conflict with another. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate by using them however, some come with additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses the button or activates an ability.
The Flashlight is the most popular utilitarian item. It illuminates the area around it. Other utility items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. A variety of utility items can be instantly created in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to those they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items are upgradeable to make them more effective.
The majority of utility items boost a specific combat attribute or provide the player with some kind of navigation advantage. For example, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman improve the power of concentration and healing. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses made by the Scribe can be used to give players either a boost in damage or condition damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single accessory item to start the campaign. A second slot is available after the completion of certain engineering, research, or experiments on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which lets the player equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade is placed in the main slot for grenades.
