Upgrade components
Upgrade components are things that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as an incentive, or even created with crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions, and enhancements are types of upgrade components. They aren't generally accessible for general use, and they can only be applied to ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be recovered from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while still attached to the item upgrader kit that they are upgrading, and can be re-used after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the Best item upgrade option to boost the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the item's chance of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
A component that is upgraded in an item may be replaced with a different one, but doing so destroys the previous one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or higher. If you upgrade a weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade the item will be referred to as it would appear on the game screen (for example adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only own up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic accessory to any item. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, thereby increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be obtained through working through dungeons. Some can even be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a dungeon that has the same level of depth.
To use a Glyph you first need to create it using components, and then connect them via anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph using components, you can use an array of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to the component that is highlighted to hold it in place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be met, such as 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which can also be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs can be found on various items and can be added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs come with additional requirements, like the requirement for a certain amount of damage to Dexterity or Attack damage for a specific area of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph adds the chance to block enemy attacks. It also has an opportunity of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be used on limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack ones that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that employ weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll the result of an Action. When the reroll occurs the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens are accessible in many ways, like dungeons and raids, or by participating in skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the store or purchased from other players. They are particularly beneficial in dungeons or trials because they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
For items that are at level 1 there are values for recycling points. When an item level upgrade is recycled, it will add a specific amount of points to the upgrade gauge. This number is determined by the rarity of the item and its level. In addition, the upgraded item will not retain its level when rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up with the level of the item.
The player can also use reroll tokens in order to roll an item. However, this will not restore the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for those who wish to reroll an item they don't love, but would like to keep it in their collection.
Three different types of upgrade coins are available in the game - the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll are available in three levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level in order to create a new item upgrading of the same quality.
To use tokens that reroll, select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, choose a type of token. The available tokens include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The use of an Item token will produce an entirely new Item of any quality. Utilizing a Weapon or Misc token will result in a new weapon from the same faction.
The item can also be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but is at a higher level. This could happen if the item has been placed in the Pool that is not droppable or if it was transferred to the pool as part of the franchise card.
