Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a common and important way to improve the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a fantastic source of extra damage, more AD or even more attaches.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade gear due to their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They improve the stats of whatever item upgrader mod they are connected to. Upgrades to armor are available in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kit to salvage upgrades from the items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to maximum upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. However, it's important keep in mind that this will increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than before.

There are a few different types of armor upgrades that are available in the game and each one has distinct effects. Certain upgrades give armor a greater number of health points while others make it lighter and more powerful. The kind of armor upgrade an Item upgrader mod will receive is indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.

A few of the upgrades are also magical or a combination of technology and magic which is indicated by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Some upgrades also require charges in order to be used. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade.

The cheapest way to upgrade armor is by using Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting chests of minor loot. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available from smelters located in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to higher level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant improvements in stats and are worth the investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The process of upgrading an armor piece to max upgrade level will dramatically increase its defense values, but the player should be aware that putting more weight on it can drastically decrease its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor past +9. The boost in defense generally isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons also have special enhancements that enhance their intrinsic capabilities. These include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes the risk of overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases projectile acceleration for more damage).

Most upgrades for weapons require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade to apply. They can be obtained by finishing side quests, taking out a certain number of monsters or bosses or from the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.

To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece, or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain amount of Bars. The more bars needed to complete an upgrade, the more advanced the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials the cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets changed a little. Previously you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level at which point the upgrades would reset.

You can still do this but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. You should consider buying equipment that has low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. These will have a better chance of bringing you the highest tier bonuses and blessings.

The majority of players will prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they use most frequently to help them level up faster. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates utilize to increase their power. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to enhance its effectiveness when paired with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to improve a stat or provide secondary effects in armor and weapons. They can be made through an process known as jewelry crafting, where you combine a gem with a number of specific chemicals at a table. The higher the grade of the gemstone is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents can be gotten from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses all over the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a diamond can be improved by the Jeweler, with stages that range from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts can vary depending on the level the jewel is in when it's inserted into jewelry, weapons, or gear.

All kinds of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a certain level to qualify for them. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped with a identical jewel without destroying the original one. However you can only swap out a jewel in an item of equipment only once.

The use of more jewels in a movement will make it feel smoother, and is often performed for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and create an outer layer that is more durable than metal so that repeated friction from pivots does not damage them.

In addition to the above-mentioned upgrades, the player can also acquire glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These provide a small bonus and are able to be swapped easily, but are not guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs, like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler to exchange gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis, cannot be swapped out, and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can be used to give your character many small, but valuable, benefits. You can find them in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors and by completing road interaction. They may also be crafted by jewelers and later found or purchased at the Trading Post.

The first trinket a player will unlock is the cloak. It gives a small, but useful bonus in speed of movement and the ability to escape. Then, they can get amulets, rings, and necklaces in the same way to how a player can acquire armor and weapons. Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any piece of equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced and only work with certain trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't fighting. This lets a hero become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also make up for the absence of good slots in the team or talent tree which are usually filled by a hero's top stats.

As a general rule trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items that you will not replace soon. Next, any items with desirable stats that aren't as important as the iLevel of the item that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when you want to upgrade multiple stats on an item upgrader. It is more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat than two less important ones.

In the beginning of the game players who are in the jungle will typically want to upgrade their trinket to a red, while top and mid players will usually opt for either a pink or green ward (depending on the game's matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

Apart from the things mentioned above, players may also discover a variety of other items in the form of awards and trophies. They can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. They can be viewed by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
