Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the Best item upgrade ways to upgrade your gear without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component's level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor better. They can be found by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that has the components, or by utilizing salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item upgrade to be upgraded, but they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to increase the level or experience gained from upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can also be made to offer additional benefits. For example, a created glyph can increase the chance of upgrading its target, whereas a boost upgrade will increase the attack or defense quality of a weapon or armor.
By selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will show the upgrade components that the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item gains when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for example have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. You should upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier Each item also comes with the maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank and the kind of upgrade they can get. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon of 10th level. However, the most common upgrades for weapons are the tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which all have the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. When you first upgrade an item upgrade, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, primary stats are enhanced even more (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its stats will increase randomly.
The upgrade of a weapon can increase its damage base, which could be important for some builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give a higher maximum defence roll than their base. It's possible to increase the value of specific sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.
If you are upgrading an item with a bonus, the item can be rerolled one time and the guarantee will reset back to 0. The same amount of power die is used to roll an item, just as it would be used to upgrade it. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be made at the NPC [Armor] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be bought by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an additional reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time with the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they've accumulated during the game. When an upgraded item is to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for the version at a level 1 of the same item from a different set. Reroll tokens are available from the store for a small amount of in-game currency, however they cannot be refunded. The new item will offer the same extra bonuses as the previous one, but the statistics will also differ.
In addition to rerolling objects, players can also change the identification of any item by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to an armor or vice versa. Its base requirements and stats will remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who own the gear in question.
Players can also increase the item level of any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade items and conversing with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will differ based on the upgrade track, item type and the number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step will add 5percent to the damage.
The upgrade of an item can make it more powerful however it can also decrease its quality. It is therefore important to balance the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading and some will require to be upgraded in order to reach their potential. A player might want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier (% block chance or FHR) to see what else it can become.
The primary reason why people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to get a specific character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be time-consuming and expensive to acquire, and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only options is to shell out real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was designed to add some value to rare and expensive items. However, since the majority of gear is replaced fairly quickly and can only be upgraded by one level, you will typically replace it before it becomes too old. It's not worth it to level items that have gem sockets because the power of the gem will outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
When you click the upgrade option on an item, you will get a small screen with the item's upgrade template and the crest and Valorstone costs to increase the item level. The cost will differ between weapons and armor as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item level upgrade as well as the upgrade templates. Additionally the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For instance weapons with an increase of 8% will decrease its value by 8-8 percent.
The item will receive upgrades to other stats, like critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry and dodge rating in addition to the base level. These increases are based on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item is able to receive when it is leveled can be shown below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All weapons and armor apart from practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The value of these stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled version of a piece of armor or weapon able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. This is also true for other pieces of armor, like tiaras or circlets.
