WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The Item Level upgrade upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item upgrades level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting the latest recipe. Crests
