Anna discovered the CoZee to be a safe and comfortable place to sleep for her infant. She was pleased that it didn't move like other models, so she wasn't disturbed at night while trying to soothe her child for feedings. She also appreciated that the sides of the chair lowered so she didn't have to reach over her partner to lift the child for nighttime feedings.
The CoZee is available in oak and charcoal and is a chic addition to the bedroom. It's more an expensive piece of furniture than many of the other cribs we've tested, and can look quite utilitarian in comparison. It's also fairly light at just 11kg and comes with a carry bag so you can carry it with you on holiday or if you're moving your home. The only additional items you'll need to buy are a waterproof cover and a safety strap for co-sleeping. The instructions and illustrations are simple to follow once you open the box.
The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to help parents feel connected with their infant while they sleep. It can be adjusted both up and down and moved to three different slide positions to be placed beside the parent's bed or in the corner so the baby is always within reach. The mesh siding lets air circulate through, allowing you to quickly see your baby. You can also put away extra pajamas or supplies in the large basket beneath.
In contrast to other bedside crib options The Iora folds flat and comes with a carry-on bag which allows it to be taken wherever. It was easy to move from room to room, and our mom testers thought it was the perfect size for a bedside cots crib. They also appreciated the large storage basket, perfect for storing spare bedding or nappies.
This is a great choice for parents who want to co-sleep, but do not want to share their own beds or whose partner may have mobility issues, like arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers loved that they could easily access their baby while in the Iora and that it had an adjustable reflux incline that helped reduce gas.
Our moms also love the fact that the mattress is in line with NICE guidelines which state that you should place the baby in the crib or Moses basket on its own (with no toys, blankets, pillows, etc). The mattress is also sturdy and comfortable for babies and sheets are easily available. It isn't as light as the other cribs that are smaller however it is a good choice if you are looking for something lighter and more portable, think about one of the other options on our list.
