WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item level upgrade level upgrade item (here.) by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade items.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade item cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.
Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and an issue.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and some new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from a different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another significant modification is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. It's Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
