WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item upgrader mod level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the Item Level Upgrade (Http://Emseyi.Com/User/Burnbeetle1). For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item upgrading is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a positive and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if the items come from a different set of equipment.
The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.
First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item upgrader kit in the proper steps and paths.
Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
Another significant change is that crests only have one use therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
