WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the Item Upgrader Mod level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which displays a preview of the item level upgrade at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item upgrading. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with several new features added. Once the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific level upgrades for items. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they only have one use. It's Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
