WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the Best item upgrader level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade items your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item upgrader kit will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require a variety of means, which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item upgrader kit level, will cost less. This is even if those items are from another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it does bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an Item level upgrade (google.com.Co) is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
