WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from item upgrades upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item upgrades level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items are available in many places including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a particular item level upgrade (please click the up coming post) level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less, even if they belong to a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade item could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
