GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric scooter green vehicles, including high-floor and lower-floor models. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The design of the platform is based on a simple paper sheet, electric Mobility scooter fastest which allows for the best placement of the battery and a lower center-of-gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid to last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one interior wall structure and higher insulation than traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to reach the range of zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to easily make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The car's acceleration is surprisingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes - eco mode and green power sport mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase the torque and cruise control, as well as handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an unique experience for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower provides a variety of other EVs that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit vanpool, bus, or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star buses per month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 all-electric cars. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. We will be following the AV Star as it makes its demonstration tour in later this year. We will be sharing more details on this exciting EV.
