WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade items gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item upgrader kit used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item level upgrade upgraders for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item upgrading at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item upgrade level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no Best item upgrader upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as an issue.
In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This applies even if the items are from a different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for gear with a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
Another significant change is that crests only have one purpose, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
