WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an Best item upgrade by 3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader kit will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item upgrader mod when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a specific level for an item upgrading in an armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will be less expensive, even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an Item Level Upgrade that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
