World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item upgrader. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what can be improved upon the reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.
In the endgame you'll often discover that the best way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing a Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When an individual player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by a new item. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader mod will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may become more expensive even if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful however it shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item upgrade is highly valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
item upgrading (visit these guys) allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs mentioned above.
