World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When the player upgrade an item the original item will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a different set of bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can waste many resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the item upgrade, and upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every when you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item upgrade that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
