Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the Best item upgrade ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.
Upgrades to equipment provide an increase in the item's stats. The bonus is depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. They can be obtained by the destruction of enemies, finding them in spheres of items or buying them from karma merchants. You can also salvage them from equipment containing the components or by using salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when removed from an item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be stacked in order to boost the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading weapons or gear. They can be forged for additional benefits. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chance of upgrading its target, while boost upgrades increase the defense or attack capabilities of weapons.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will display a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components are collected.
Each component has a different experience multiplier, which affects how much more experience an item will gain when it upgrades with that component. Organic components, for instance, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore recommended to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the multiplier of experience for the next rank of the weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the multiplier for experience, each item also has the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade items they are able to receive. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a tier 10 weapon. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are the tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a set of items that all share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once and the upgrade will increase its guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its primary stat will be +1. Following upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrading a weapon can also increase the damage base, which could be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a greater maximum defense roll than their base. Upgrading can be a good option to increase the value of a set and unique items, but it's important to note that they're not necessarily better than a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled once and its guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as leveling an item, however the new item will offer different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each type. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased with Gold. The NPCs will also offer special rewards for each completed level of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled once and the reroll will use the same materials as the first item.
Rerolling
If the player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can play rerolling any item they've accumulated during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are available from the store for a small amount of in-game currency. However, they aren't refundable. The new upgraded item will still come with the extra benefits of the previous one however its stats will be different too.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from a weapon to armor or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and required attributes. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters who own the equipment.
The player can also upgrade their level of the item for any equipment that is equipped. This is done by talking to an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade components. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, item type, and the number of crests. Each upgrade will add 5percent more damage to weapons.
The upgrade of an item can make it more powerful however it can also lower its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to balance the two. Some items aren't worth upgrading, whereas others require upgrading to make them more effective. For instance, a player might want to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier ( percent chance of blocking or FHR) to see what it can become.
The primary reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to obtain a particular weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items are time-consuming and costly to acquire and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only alternatives are to spend money or grind for a long time. For this reason, rerolling is a very popular choice in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade item the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe that this feature was intended to add some value to rare and expensive items. However, since the majority of items are replaced quite quickly, and it can only be upgraded by to a certain level, you will generally replace it before it is too old. It is also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets because the power of the gem will outweigh any increment in ilvl.
You will see a small box when you click on the upgrade option on an item. It will display the item's template, the Crest, as well as the Valorstone cost to raise the item level. The cost will differ between armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to an upgraded item, and also the current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. Additionally the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be reduced by the upgrade template's lvl decrease percentage. For example weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its ilvl by 8 - 8 percent.
The item will be upgraded to other stats, like critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. These increases are also based off the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will be able to sustain when it is upgraded. This is displayed below the cost and the upgrade percentages. Apart from the practice equipment, all armor and weapons gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The market determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other pieces of armor, such as tiaras and circlets.
