World of Warcraft - item upgrader mod Upgrading
Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like perfect rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Many weapons also have an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a single unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them could render them useless unless you have an extremely lucky roll.
Armor items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. This can boost the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain when upgraded, along with their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item menu with the arrows that circle. This will reroll an item and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to get through difficult areas. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you will get from every point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in the Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the item level upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI in which you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP count.
Once a potion is upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. For example splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item upgrade). The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and refills the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but is not important as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by the player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. For example If Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade can cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying a new one.
