GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric power scooters medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and it can be customized to suit a wide range of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for the optimal placement of battery packs and a lower center of gravity resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one interior wall structure and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and a top payload to range ratio for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We were capable of testing the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive over long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does a great job of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 offers a great range and can be recharged in three hours or green power mobility less at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer a unique experience for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, transit or micro-transit vanpool, bus or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 all-green electric scooter vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. Check back as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later in the year. We will provide more information on this innovative EV.
