World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. In some cases this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of their base. While this is usually a good thing, it can have some negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to increase their stats. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading and their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button on the item menu, using the arrows that circle. This will roll the item upgrade and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock perks for your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by making them using a craft table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "upgrade item" option from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same applies to the use of a potion in an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion, and refill the bottle.

There are also simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a function but isn't important, like a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket is used to express friendship or affection between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets like other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. One can upgrade a trinket with as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as old one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment that won't replace in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
