World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading
item upgrading (additional resources) allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade item a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of the base. This is generally a positive aspect, but it may also have negative consequences. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.
Armor items can be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade items template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with their respective values. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu, using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item upgrading and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you'll receive from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each will vary. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a handful of friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
You can also gain perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor to let you escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.
When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display. The table for potion is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be mixed in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and refills the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important, such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying new ones. It is possible to upgrade players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other gear items that they won't replace in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade can cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
