World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
item upgrading (hop over to these guys) allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance, a perfectly broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually beneficial but it can also have negative consequences too. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their stats. This can increase the defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade item template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain after upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button with circling arrows in the menu for items. The Best item upgrader will be rerolled and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. The more defense your character is, the more value you get from each point of health therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and to unlock each fountain, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. You'll require anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a few of your friends.
You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to let you get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, give the player a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade items a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. This is the same for the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potions is laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but isn't important such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with gold, tokens, or fragments from a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an attractive alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced soon (for example an earring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
