WoW item upgrades (istartw.lineageinc.com published an article)
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be put on weapons and armor pieces and increase their stats. These upgrade items add a number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their cost increasing with their popularity.
The melee PvP scene is highly influenced by an optimally rolled version of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
The upgrading process is a vital part of the crafting process. They can enhance the quality of an item, make it stronger or weaker and even give it an added benefit. They can also change the appearance of an item. Some upgrades are universal, whereas others have rules specific to armor and weapons. The wrong upgrade could ruin a weapon that was otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.
A general rule is that you should only upgrade an piece of equipment to the level of the highest-level gear within its category. This means that you can only upgrade helms, body armors, gloves and shields to the level of their highest-level counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded up to the equivalent level of the sword. This does not increase the weapon's ability to deal damage, but can reduce the value of trade.
To upgrade an item upgrader you need to spend flightstones and crests. The amount of each depends on the level of the item upgrader as well as the slot. For instance, an upgrade to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. You may also get discounts on the amount of flightstones or crests needed to upgrade an item upgrading.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step raises the item's Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It could take a few upgrades to reach this level, depending on the item. It is essential to keep in mind that any procedure that may be used to mount a disk must not be performed during the process of upgrading. Additionally, you should ensure that the disk being upgraded is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment lets you change white or Common items to blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does NOT add gem or rune slot to the equipment. However it alters the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of equipment by the size of a creature that is two categories smaller, so for example, a Blaster Pistol is deemed small, while an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be made on any type of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. The upgrade components are typically random drops, but they can also be gathered through side quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They may also be branching or linear.
The Universal Upgrade is when "internal technologies" can provide sentient creatures new capabilities that are unlikely to acquire naturally. Implants and prostheses are both examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade differs from medical internal technology which aims to restore the natural capabilities. It is rather the beginning of an upgrade process that transforms civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade is an extended and complicated process. However, the process can be divided into two distinct categories: complete success and partial failure.
This is similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW the majority of them occur due to operational reasons such as overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal the reason could be to transfer guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not meant to be a mean-spirited thing but it is something that can be inevitable in the present climate.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels that are only applicable to specific kinds of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or), universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can also be applied to multiple items at the same time. They are therefore more adaptable than any other upgrade type. This flexibility can be problematic when upgrading items that are on a specific gear path. It will increase the level of items for all items on that route.
Before you upgrade, it's essential to stop PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. After that you can install new files by using the GetChildItemRecurse command or Unblock-File. It is also recommended to perform a basic validation against your PSU server to ensure that it functions properly.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to enhance weapons, armor or accessories. They give varying stat bonuses and other effects based on the gem and reagent used to make them. They can be found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can also be purchased from a master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be made using a table for jewelry using 5 of the same reagent type and one gem to create the jewel of an upper or lower tier. This process is similar to upgrading a stone the gemcrafting table.
Jewel levels are determined by the number of modifiers that they possess. Higher-tier jewels have more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions to increase their chances of getting more beneficial secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be put into an item with a matching socket to enhance the item's. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost power, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strength when attacking. Jewels can be put in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They also work with some exotic trinkets or trinkets of lower rarity that require the use of a slot.
Like other DM mechanics, gems can help to ensure that items are special to their owners. Jewels provide a variety of upgrade options that allow players to personalize and find the best combination for their needs. They can upgrade their equipment with new gems in the event that they feel the existing set is no longer the best.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to level up the levels of their weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets over their current item level from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades improve the stats of the base item and some also offer special effects (such as Dolphin's Grace which allows players to experience dolphin-like grace while they swim). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or reclaiming them. Different items drop various upgrade components.
The process of upgrading can be somewhat complicated, but it's simple. First, the player picks the item they wish to upgrade and click on the Upgrade button. A window will pop up with the various upgrades available for the item upgrader mod. This window will show the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance), and the cost of the upgrade. The bonus type for upgrades will be displayed below the bar that displays the upgrade level.
The player will need to take the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player is then required to provide the appropriate currency and, if needed, additional materials. The requirements for this are determined by the level of the item upgrader. Weapons have more strict requirements opposed to armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain the list of acceptable material as well as the components required. This list outlines what other upgrade components are available on the item, as well as a flag indicating whether that item has a guaranteed boost or additional effect. This is important to know because the value of an upgraded item may differ significantly based on the 'extras' it has, with perfectly rolling gear worth a lot more than the non-upgraded versions.
The list of upgrade types that require crests or valorstones will be listed separately below the main list. The crests and valorstones required depend on the level of the item, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
