WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which displays a preview of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the Item Level Upgrade. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item upgrade has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Item upgraders can be found at many locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will cost less even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests only have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
