World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.
It is important to note that even though you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it's generally not worth the cost. Rare and Unique gear will quickly outclass modernized magic and common equipment.
Cost
The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item level upgrade depends on its current level and upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades for armor since weapons have less requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an Item upgrader mod is upgraded.
A new item will also have increased stats, which can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This may include boosting its attack power or critical strike chance. A upgraded item can also provide additional buffs to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall power of a group or individual unit, and can be a major influence on the gameplay.
Any item upgrading upgrader NPC can be found in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find item-upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.
The system of upgrading items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the level of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is similar to gear reforging process in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of making use of currency, players will need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.
Upgrades can be expensive particularly for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade track you select, each item level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total costs can be a major burden for players who don't have the funds or are unwilling to grind them.
The game lets you roll a new item by using a specific tool from the menu of items. This option will replace the upgraded item with the level 1 version which offers different bonuses. This is useful to gain better results on items that have already been upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the level of items that can be equipped such as trinkets, weapons and armor. This increases their power and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an item upgrader. However, they should be aware that some upgrades have special requirements.
The earliest upgrades only increase the stats of the base item by one level, however later upgrades offer more substantial enhancements. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage plus two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on the level. This bonus is a combination of a guarantee extra substat as well as a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can reroll an upgraded item by using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new one. The new item has a different set of extra bonuses, and is of a lower level of the item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the item rerolled will not be able to maintain its strength or have any wasted resources.
Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the initial item was Unique, Rare or Epic. Extraordinary items are also suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced with a flat bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a normal version of the same type, whereas the rerolling of an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same kind.
An upgraded item may also come with additional modifiers, which can increase the stats of the item and improve its performance. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade price. They can be obtained through doing quests, purchasing them at the Trading Post or from other players. Alternatively, they can be earned by completing certain tasks in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 can be found from Bosses). You will also require various amounts of Minerals and Erons.
Time is an important factor.
Upgrades to items are a method to increase your ship's stats and gear without needing to upgrade them. While upgrading isn't expensive, it is a good way to improve your stats without having spend a lot of time in combat. However, it's important to be aware of the cost and benefits of upgrades to your item before you invest your time or money.
Each upgrade boosts the stats of an item by a certain amount, and also gives a chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The random substat may range from a small increase to a significant boost. Concentrate on the things that perform best in slots first. They will provide a more profit for your investment.
You can see the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and choose a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will then show the progress and anticipated completion time. In some instances, you may be capable of speeding up the upgrade items by applying a Glyph.
It is also possible to recover any or all upgrade components from an item by using a high-end salvage kit sold by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or making a claim with the appropriate Karma merchant.
Enjoy the Benefits
The upgrading of items provides players with currency and a range of items. Additionally, every upgrade is able to give a random stat bonus. The bonus value will vary for every upgrade, and is usually higher for items that are rarer. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to purchasing tickets. The search can assist in determining whether the item is of a particular tier and whether the player will benefit from an upgrade.
During the upgrade, an item will slowly grow closer to the next level, but not always reach its full upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant however there is a ten percent chance to achieve an upgraded item in only one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item attains, the greater its stat boost and the more items it can upgrade to.
Upgrade components can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is in use. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can obtain upgrade components through crafting, buying from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or as rewards. Players can also recover upgraded items using an Upgrade extractor, or salvage with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs placed on gathering tools can be swapped freely.
A player can reroll an item into another upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow for reroll. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced with one of the level 1 items. Recycled items will not keep their level, or the resources used to upgrade it.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Common items can be upgraded to a maximum of level six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrades to items are added to the base stats of the item. This means that they won't grow in the future after a certain level.
