1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest of the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel and easily fits through normal doors thanks to its slim design, it's also one of the most light double buggies available on the market weighing just 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for trips with a newborn and toddler as you won’t exceed airline luggage allowances. It folds down to the size of a bag for travel so you can tuck it away in the back of your car when it's not being used.
The one-handed, Z-shape folding is easy and is extremely compact once you get the hang of it. It takes a few minutes to fold. Our tester found the auto-lock a bit confusing, and because the handlebar doesn't lock in the position you push it into to the side, it struck her leg when she used it. She also thought the handlebar was on the shorter side. This is especially true when a large change bag hangs from it.
This double stroller is not as light as other travel buggies. It comes with a wide variety of features, and is among the most versatile double strollers on the market. It can be used with two carrycots (available separately), features several recline positions and comes with a UV 50+ canopy. You can even add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel system.
The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they were not made for off-roading. They had a hard time with gravel and long grass and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel, so mud stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy, and it was able to climb pretty muddy hills.

They can also be repositioned to face either parent or to face the world.
It's a heavier buggie in tandem, but it's easy to drive and use especially on smooth pavements. It feels stable in both double and single mode and even on sloping terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transportation, however, since it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also large and will not fit into a standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy includes the footmuff and changing bag included in the price, making this an excellent value package for parents who are just starting out.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even walking on uneven ground or when turning swiftly in the middle of a busy street. The feature that the seats can be reclined independently was also a big hit.
The hoods were also simple to adjust for sun or wind protection. They didn't offer the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an additional rain cover in the case.
Overall, our testers loved the way that the Nipper Double made it possible for them to take their twin girls Sydney and Lyla on all sorts of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods to running to the park for a quick playdate. The testers were also awed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There's plenty of room to stretch out for growing toddlers. Our testers did note that the lack of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats in this buggy were a problem and they would have liked to have seen more storage space for shopping and other equipment.
