World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The Item Upgrading (Intern.Ee.Aeust.Edu.Tw) system allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves the equipment they have it will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like dolphins). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly important in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade item a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item upgrader kit's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
