World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and also add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of the base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their stats. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the item menu. This will reroll an item and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to get through difficult areas. The more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and completed the fountain in question and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor is different. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also get some advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle within which it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance the splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item). The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potions is laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant such as a trinket. In some cultures a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade item vendor and paying the appropriate currency. In contrast to other upgrades for items trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade the player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the previous trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded once the old ones are no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other pieces of gear that they will not be replacing soon (for instance, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade items. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
