Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the most effective ways to upgrade your gear without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items efficiently.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus is according to the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma merchants. You can also get them from equipment that has the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to boost the value of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can also be forged to provide extra bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense attributes of weapons.
By selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will show an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either instance, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item can gain when upgraded with that component. For instance, organic components have a more experience multipliers than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade item type of the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most common weapon upgrades are an tier 6 weapon as well as a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a set of items that all share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at least once. The upgrade boosts the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are increased even more (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the base damage of a weapon. This may be important for certain types of builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to a higher defense base than their normal base. It is a good way to improve the value of a set and unique items, but it's important to note that they may not be more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.
If you are upgrading an item with bonuses it can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will offer different extra bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each type. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an additional reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled once, and the reroll will use the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can reroll any item acquired in the game if they have enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced by the same level in another set. Reroll tokens are available from the store for an amount of in-game currency, but they aren't refundable. The upgraded item will still have the extra benefits of the previous one however its stats will differ as well.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to changing it's roll by interfacing with a NPC upgrader. This will change its identification from a weapons to armor, or reverse the process. Its base stats and requirements will remain the same. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters who own the equipment.
The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipped equipment. This can be done by engaging with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. This will cost a certain amount of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and the item kind. For weapons, each upgrade item will add 5% to its damage.
Upgrades can increase the effectiveness of an item, however they also can decrease its quality. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading at all, while others will need to be upgraded to reach their potential. For example, a player might decide to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to discover what it could become.
The main reason people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they are trying to acquire a certain weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to acquire, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only choices left are to invest real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was created to give value to expensive and rare items. However, since most items are replaced quite quickly, and it can only be leveled up one level, you'll typically replace it before it gets too old. It's not worth it to upgrade items that have gem sockets because the power of the gem will far outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
When you click the upgrade option on an item, you'll get a small screen with the upgrade template for the item and the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the level of the item upgrades. The cost of upgrades will vary based on the armor and weapons, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that can be added to an upgraded item along with its current base ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. Additionally, the ilvl of the new upgraded Best item upgrader will be reduced by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For example the weapon that has an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its value by 8-8 percent.
In addition to the base ilvl increase it will also get upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block, and parry rating. Those increases are also based on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item upgrade will receive as it gets leveled up can be shown below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Apart from the practice equipment, all other weapons and armor gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly perfectly rolled weapon or piece of armor able to command much higher trade values than non-upp'd versions. This is also true for other armor pieces, such as circlets and Tiaras.
