The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies for upgrading equipment. These currencies can be exchanged at the item upgrader NPCs, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its maximum level for a specific slot at a time. Upgrades to that slot will be cheaper afterward. The pity system, introduced in The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance of upgrades.
Upgrades
In gaming, upgrades are replacements for components that improve performance or add new features. Upgrades can be bought or earned in many ways like in-game events or cash shop items.
Unlike enchantments, which can be added to any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be applied to the items. Therefore, upgrades cannot be applied to a weapon unless it is already equipped by the player. However, certain items can be upgraded many times, bringing better benefit to the user of the item.
The mechanic of upgrades is relatively new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players fuse additional improvements to equipment to boost its power, ranging from a simple boost in strength to massive damage and defense increases. Upgrades are grouped into tracks and each track has its own limitations on the maximum amount an item can be upgraded. The limits are in place to stop players from flooding low keystone dungeons for gear and then upgrading it up to.
Weapons, armor and consumables are all upgradeable gear. Most gear can be upgraded when it is dropped, though certain items (such as Ornn's gear, or the infant Dracolich pet) cannot be upgraded. Gear can be upgraded to higher levels by purchasing a recipe from the upgrade vendor, then combining it with an item in the correct upgrade items slot. The icon of the item or the search in the shop will show how many upgrades this piece of equipment is equipped with.
The upgrade system has two major disadvantages. It can be difficult to determine what items are eligible for upgrade as upgrade vendors don’t always show all of them. In addition, upgrade textures are displayed above the model of the item and could obscure enchantment glints and other details.
Upgrades can also be expensive. Each step up a gear's upgrade level costs a certain number of Valorstones and crests, based on the slot of the item and the level of the item. Weapons, for instance require more Valorstones and crests to upgrade. Cash shop items can help reduce the cost.
Recycles
In the wake of a growing awareness of how single-use items and consumption habits that are wasteful can contribute to environmental degradation, many are changing their shopping practices. Some are buying high-quality products that last longer, or reusing their old gadgets as a workaround. Others are focusing on recycled products and looking for the most recycled content in their purchases. This trend should help reduce the amount resources required to create and extract new materials, and create a sustainable world.
Recycling is an integral part of this process, and it has become more accessible to consumers. Many products, such as paper and furniture have a recycled component to them. These products are made from recycled or discarded materials. You can buy them at a retail store or online. These products are not only more eco-friendly, but they're also cheaper than comparable products.
As an item levels up, it receives additional bonuses in addition to its main stat boost. The bonuses are based on the item's tier, and may come in different forms. The ones who have higher tiers will receive higher bonuses than those on lower tiers.
More companies are taking on creating products that are greener as the world economy shifts away from extraction of resources and towards recycling and reusing. Many of them are focused on recycling materials and providing incentives to customers to recycle their products. In the future, it's likely that we'll see more recycled items on the shelves and in stores, as the demand for sustainable products increases.
Rerolls
In Genshin Impact - or any gacha game, for that matter Rerolling is a crucial tool. Rerolling allows players to try again for an item or character they like, either because it is attractive or they think it's a good match for their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current wave in exchange for a small amount of materials. The costs of these weapons rise when the number of rerolls in a row increases, though certain items might not be available at all (for instance, a melee weapon is not available to players who can only use weapons that are ranged).
When an item is upgraded it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These bonuses are based on nature of the item it is. For example an upgrade that increases the main stat of a weapon will also increase its additional stat. If the item is rerolled then the extras will change.
If a player has ability to reroll, they can click on an icon with arrows that are circling to swap their item out for another. The new item will come with the same level, but will have it will come with a different set of bonuses, depending on whether the previous item upgrade was a gun, sword or a watch.
Rerolling doesn't reset an item's bonus levels. However the player may need to meet the minimum requirements to qualify for a special ability. This can make it difficult to find an item of high-level that offers the bonus they desire, but it does allow players to explore a different option in the future without having to invest more resources.
The process of upgrading an item doesn't just increase the value of its bonuses, it can also give the item a tier boost, meaning that it's guaranteed to receive a certain amount of bonus stats if upgraded in the future. This is the main reason why it's crucial to upgrade gear as far as you can, as once you reach the point where any further upgrades won't make a significant difference it's pointless.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share a common property. They are frequently used in math and can be represented as . Sets have many important properties such as the associative and commutative properties. These properties are important in understanding how sets function and can be used in real-world applications.
Items can be upgraded to get additional bonuses in the game. A set of armor pieces can increase the armor's defense, while a weapon can add additional damage base. These additional stats are added after the base stats of the item, but before the flats and percentages. The additional stats may be a great method to increase the value of an item upgrader mod.
When an item is upgraded, it will replace the previous base stat with the new one. For example, a weapon that was able to sustain 20 base damage will now have 40 base damage. It will also keep the previous base armor value and upgrade requirements. This is an excellent way to acquire an item of the highest quality at an affordable price.
The process of upgrading unusual items can be profitable, especially when the item is equipped with an interesting modification. A rare belt that has +5 IAS, for example could have a significant impact on a build's strength especially in early hell. It's also a great way to enhance the value of a unique item by injecting a strong or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders function differently for set, unique and rare items. The item will typically be upgraded to its new type once it has been upgraded to level 10. A unique upgrade of an armor Item Upgrade with maximum defense will result in a similar type of base for an elite armor item. This is not a guarantee, and in some cases an upgrade may not change the type of item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) before moving to non-BiS items. This will ensure that the player has an established base to build upon when they level up, and will be able to focus on increasing their tiers and getting additional stats.
