The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies: Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These currencies can be exchanged at the item upgrader NPCs, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a specific slot once. Then upgrades to that slot will be cheaper. Additionally the pity system introduced in The War Within lowers extreme upgrade luck variance.
Upgrades
Upgrades are parts that enhance performance or add new functionality. They can be bought or earned in many ways, including through in-game events as well as from cash shop items.
As opposed to enchantments that can be applied to any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be used on those items. A weapon that is already equipped will not be upgraded. However, some items can be upgraded multiple times, providing a much greater benefit to the wearer of the item.
Upgrades are a fairly new mechanic that was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players add additional enhancements to equipment to increase its power, ranging from simple boosts in strength to massive damage and defense boosts. Upgrades are organized into tracks, and each track has its own limitations on the maximum amount an item can be upgraded. Those limits are designed to prevent players from spamming low keystone dungeons for equipment, only to upgrade it to the top.
Consumables, weapons, and armor are all upgradeable. The majority of gear gets upgraded when it drops. However, some items (such Ornn's equipment, or the infant Dracolich) aren't upgradeable. Equipment can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade vendor, then adding it to an item in the appropriate upgrade slot. One can check the number of upgrades a piece of gear is equipped with by looking at its inventory icon or by searching for that item upgrading in the shop.
There are two main drawbacks with the upgrade system. The first is that it can be difficult to identify the items that are upgradeable since the upgrade vendors don't always display all of them. The upgrade textures are rendered over the model of the item which may hide enchantment info and other information.
Upgrades can also be expensive. Every step to an item's upgrade level costs a certain amount of Valorstones and crests, dependent on the slot of the item and level. Weapons typically require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves for instance. Cash shop items can help to lower the cost.
Recycle
Many people are transforming their purchasing habits as they become more conscious of the environmental impacts of single-use items. Some people buy high-quality items that will last longer, or recycle their old gadgets in search of solutions. Many people are choosing to purchase recycled products and search for the most recycled content when buying. This will help reduce the amount of resources needed to extract and manufacture new materials and help create a more sustainable environment.
It is now easier for people than ever to find recycling. Many products, including furniture and paper, contain recycled material. They're made of reused or discarded material and it's simple to buy recycled products online or in stores. In addition to helping the environment, these products are often cheaper than comparable products.
When an item is upgraded it can be given additional bonuses alongside its increased main stat. The bonuses are based on the item's tier, and may be of various types. People with higher tiers will get higher bonuses than those on lower levels.
As the global economy shifts away from extraction of resources to recycling and reusing, more companies are making promises to create products that are more sustainable. Many of them are insisting on using recycled materials and providing incentives to customers to recycle their goods. In the future it's likely that we'll see even more recycled items on the shelves and in the stores, as the demand for sustainable goods increases.
Rerolls
Rerolling is a vital tool in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. Rerolling allows players to play again for the weapon or character they like or want to play, whether because it's attractive or they think it's a good match for their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh the items available in the current wave in exchange for a small amount of materials. The costs of these weapons increase depending on the number of rerolls within a row increases, though some items may not be offered at all (for example, a melee weapon is not available to players who are only able to use ranged weapons).
When an item is levelled up it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These bonuses are based on kind of item it is - for example, an upgrade that boosts a weapon's main stat can also boost its secondary stats. The additional stats can also change if the item upgrading is changed.
If a player has the endurance to roll a reroll they can click on a button with arrows circling to swap their item out to another. The new item will come with the same level, but with a different set of extra bonuses, depending on whether the previous item was a gun, sword, watch or book.
Rerolling does not reset an item's current levels of bonus, but players may be required to meet the minimum requirements for their special ability. This could make it difficult to obtain a high-level item level upgrade that has the bonus they desire however it allows players to look for a different option in the future without having to spend more money.
Upgrading an item won't just increase the value of its bonuses, but it will also give the item a boost in tier, meaning that it will get a specific amount of bonus stats when upgraded in the future. It is essential to only upgrade your gear as far as you can, as any future upgrades will not make a difference.
Sets
A set is a group of items that are connected by a particular property. They are commonly utilized in maths and can be represented by . Sets possess a variety of important properties, including the associative property, and the commutative property. These properties are important to understand how sets function and have real-world applications.
In the game the items can be upgraded in sets to gain additional bonuses. A set of armor pieces can boost the armor's defense and a weapon could provide an additional damage base. These additional stats will be applied after the base stat and before percentages and flats. The additional stats can be a great way to enhance the value of an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the base stat with the new one. For instance an item with 20 base damage will now have 40 base damage. The base armor and upgrade requirements will remain. This is a great way to get an elite item at a low cost.
Upgrading exclusive items can be extremely profitable, particularly when the item comes with an interesting modification. For instance, a rare belt with +5 IAS could have a significant impact on the strength of a build especially in early hell. It's also a great option to boost the value of a unique item by injecting a high or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders function differently for set, unique and rare items. When an item reaches level 10, it is likely to be upgraded back to its base type. A unique upgrade items of an armor item that has the highest defense will result in a similar base type for an armor item that is elite. It is not a 100% assurance, and in some cases an upgrade may not change the type of item.
It is suggested that players focus on upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, and then other non-BiS items. This will ensure that the player has a strong base when leveling up, and will be able to focus on boosting their tiers and increasing their stats.
