World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrades Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instance "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.
You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
The use of the Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When the player improves an item the original item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage in that the item upgrade could increase in price even if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader; our website, NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each each time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition, which requires the player to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an Best item upgrader fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
