WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade item your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item level upgrade owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will cost less even if they belong to a different gear set.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item upgrader kit that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to gear with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the upgrade items process. For example, once an item is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is Best item upgrader to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrader gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
