Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item upgrader, such as a weapon, armor or rings. The item is replaced with another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
The surviving players can acquire reroll tokens in several ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item of equipment for example, increasing its damage.
Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that melee and weapons while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
As opposed to other tokens or markers placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next Success result is rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.
In the course of the course of a game, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to chosen Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and other accessories. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. They can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade, the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, they can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is also safe and doesn't impact the longevity of the item. This makes the system an excellent way for players to get an advantage in combat without putting a strain on their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to obtain them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. It is accomplished by combining an item with upgrade item components at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will gain an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been reached.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a particular number of items to be applied in addition to an initial amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right, an image of the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each upgrade, the base stats of the item will increase by an amount of. The maximum level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades will not be available for it. When a piece of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an extra effect or attribute bonus while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type however, you'll generally require Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade Tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them more effects or an improved quality of the Best item upgrade. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense and adds an extra 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Certain items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats, but for the fact that it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item upgrader Kit. These include the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) and the tier of that item as well as the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the requirements for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing it. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
