WoW Upgrades - The item upgrades Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item upgrade that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.
The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less even when they are part of a different gear set.
The discount applies to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an Item Level Upgrade upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important modification is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you have available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
