In contrast to other cribs for bed which can be difficult to clean due to their constant stream of snot and dribble and snot, the Tutti Bambini CoZee Air comes with a wipe-clean lining and fabric that can be removed to wash in the machine. Plus, it has a top bar that can be easily lowered to feed at night without having to fumble with zips in the dark.
Anna discovered that the CoZee could be a safe and comfortable place to sleep for her infant. It's all you need to buy is an extra waterproof sheet and safety strap for co-sleeping. The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is a bassinet for infants designed to help parents feel closer to their infant while they sleep. It adjusts up and down and can be moved through three slide positions to fit next to the bed of the parent or in the corner of the room so that the baby is always within arm's reach. The mesh siding is breathable, allowing air to circulate through and gives you a quick glance at your child. You can also put away any extra pajamas or items in the large basket underneath.
The Iora is a smaller bedside crib that folds flat. It also comes with a travel bag to allow it to be carried anywhere. It was easy to move from room to room, and our mum testers believed it was the right size for a twin bedside cot crib. They also appreciated the large storage basket which is ideal for stowing nappies or other bedding items.
This is an excellent choice for parents who are looking to sleep in a co-sleeping arrangement but do not want to share their beds or whose partner may have mobility issues, like arthritis or back pain. Our mums who tested it loved the ease with which they could access their child in the Iora and that it had an option to have a reflux incline which helped alleviate gas.
Our moms love that it follows NICE guidelines. They recommend placing the infant in a Moses basket or crib on its own, without blankets, toys and pillows. The mattress is also firm and comfortable for babies and sheets are readily available. It's not as light as other cribs for bedside use, though it is a good choice if you are looking for something lighter and easier to move around with, look at alternatives on our list.
