Path of Exile item upgrade Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to upgrade your gear without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items efficiently.

Upgrading equipment grants a bonus to the item Upgrader mod's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the things that improve your armor and weapons better. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres or purchasing them from karma sellers. You can also salvage them from equipment that contains the components or by using high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Contrary to other products upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.

Upgrade components are typically used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be stacked to increase the quality of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be forged for extra bonuses. For example, a crafted glyph will boost the chance of upgrading its target, whereas a boost upgrade will increase the attack or defense quality of a weapon or armor.

You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components to which the item upgrades can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either case, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for example, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore Best item upgrade to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier for the next rank of weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades are determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon with the tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and an armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects that share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade will increase the bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade the set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded one of its additional stats increases randomly.

Upgrading a weapon can also increase its damage base, which could be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a greater defense level than their regular base. It is possible to increase value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be superior to a high-level Runeword.

If you're upgrading an item that has an added bonus the item can be rerolled a single time and the guarantee will reset back to 0. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the new item will have different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be made by visiting the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs will also provide special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials and components as the first item.

Rerolling

If the player has enough rerolling tokens, they can play rerolling any item they have acquired during the game. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by the same level in another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased at the store for an amount of in-game currency. However, they are not refundable. The new item will offer the same bonus features as the previous one, but the stats will be different.

In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identity of any equipment by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and the attributes it requires. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that own the gear in question.

The player can also upgrade the level of the item for any equipped equipment. This is accomplished by talking to an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type and number of crests. Each step will give 5% more damage to weapons.

Upgrades can increase the effectiveness of an item, however they also can decrease the quality of an item. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, while other items require upgrading to make them more effective. For instance, a player might want to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that has an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to see what it can be.

The main reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they're trying to acquire a certain character or weapon that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be time-consuming and expensive to acquire, and the RNG doesn't always play nice. The only choices left is to shell out real money or grind a lot. For this reason, rerolling is a very popular choice in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

When upgrading an item you can pick to level up the weapon or armor. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I think it was meant to be a way to add value to rare items, but since the majority of gear drops quickly and can only be upgraded after a certain amount of levels it is likely that you will replace the item before it becomes too old. It's not worth it to upgrade items that have gem sockets as the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.

You will be presented with a small box when you click on the upgrade option for an item. It will display the template of the item, the Crest, as well as the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the former generally being more expensive. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and will also list its current base ilvl.

The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage for lvl. For example weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its ilvl by 8 - 8 percent.

In addition to the base ilvl boost, the item will also receive upgrades in other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block, and parry rating. The increases are also based on the upgrade template.

The amount of damage and defense that the item is able to receive when leveled up can be observed below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All weapons and armor, except practice equipment, gain these stats upon leveling up. The value of these stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly rolled weapon or piece of armor able to command much more trade value than non-upp'd versions. The same applies to other pieces of armor such as tiaras and circlets.
