WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item upgrade by +3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item upgrader mod has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be bought by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which displays a preview of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance it's Best item upgrader to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
