Requirements

The game should show more information on its compare interface about upgrades, like: "X stats gained, or X stats loss." This is not practical to implement due to the complexity of the process of comparing. There's not enough space in the UI to do it right.
A script that tests the requirements of an item's upgrade before allowing the item to be upgraded is an alternative solution.
