World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage, PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of the base. While this is usually a good thing but it can also have negative consequences too. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example), upgrading them may render them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. This can increase the defense base of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will get when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% does not mean that it will hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu with the circling arrows. This will reroll the Best item upgrader and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you get out of each point of health you have therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible.

To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock them all, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each level will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, giving the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few friends.

You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades to the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to escape some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, give a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the Best item upgrade's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can choose the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP count.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to rename it.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display of the item. The table for potion is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be mixed in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important, such as a thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear they will not be replacing in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade item their chest, helm, and shoulders.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade can ruin the previous trinket, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
