The BOB Sport Utility
The BOB Sport utility is a great stroller to use for those who want to get off the beaten path and work out. The jogging stoller features pneumatic knobby wheels that are ideal for trail runs, and the handbrake allows you to control the downhills. It also has a top-of-the-line suspension system with a two-step folding system, and an enormous cargo basket. If you purchase the right adapters you can use it with a child car seat.
The biggest drawback of this stroller for jogging is its weight and size when folded. It weighs 25lbs and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is about average for this category of strollers. Its large footprint makes it unsuitable for tight turns or small trunk space. It does however have a small handle in the rear of the storage bin that can be pulled to collapse the stroller into a compact, flat position.
Despite its bulk, this stroller is easy to maneuver. The front wheel comes with a locking mechanism, that allows you to change between locked and normal mode. The handlebar can be adjusted for different parent heights. It has a wide seat which can be reclined to almost flat, as well as a large window made of vinyl.
The Sport Utility also scored a 9 out of 10 for its exceptional quality. It has a thick frame made of aluminum, with tight connections, smooth edges and no poor stitching. It also has adjustable shocks which helps with the smooth-rolling performance.
The Sport Utility stroller, like the other BOBs we've reviewed comes with adapters for car seats. This allows you to use it with various infant car seats. In our tests, it took us about 5:24 minutes to assemble the stroller from unpacking it to being ready to run. It was simple enough to complete, however you'll require an Philips head screwdriver to complete the process. The manual included is easy to follow and well-organized. However, it's an excellent idea to have one on hand in the case.
The Baby Trend Expedition
This jogger was built with safety, fashion and ease of use as its main goals. It also takes almost 8 minutes to put it up and the directions are confusing with multiple languages mixed together and difficult-to-read illustrations.
The only drawback to this jogger is the lack of suspension. This means that the ride could be more bumpy than other all terrain pushchair from birth-terrain strollers. This could be difficult for children with small hands, especially if their nap is about to start. The air-filled wheels are great, but don't offer as much cushioning as the rubber tires that are found on strollers that are more expensive.
This is an excellent option for those who don't exercise often but still would like to move easily over gravel or grass without worrying about obstructions like curbs or other obstacles. It's an excellent choice for families with little space, since it folds into a relatively compact unit. It's lighter than many of the other joggers we've tried and can fit into spaces that many full-size strollers don't.
