Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the Best item upgrader ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades to equipment provide an additional bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres, or buying them from karma merchants. You can also salvage them from equipment that has the components or by using high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from the item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be used to boost the level or experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can also be made to provide extra bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target while boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of weapons.
Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will display a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item will gain when upgraded using that component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the multiplier of experience for the next rank of the equipment or weapon, and then move to mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgradeable items is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can receive. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon that is the tier 10. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a collection of items that share bonuses. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and each upgrade boosts its guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased even more (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats increases randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the base damage of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to a higher defense base than their normal base. It's possible to increase the value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they might not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If the item you're upgrading has a guaranteed bonus, it can be rerolled only once and its guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item up, but the upgraded item will come with additional bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armor] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each kind. These can be bought by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an extra reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
A player is able to play rerolling any Best item upgrade that they acquire in the game provided they have enough reroll tokens to do so. When an upgraded item gets to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for an equivalent version that is level 1 of the same item upgrades in another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased at the store for small amounts of in-game currency, however they aren't refundable. The new item will offer the same extra bonuses like the first, however the stats will also be different.
In addition to rerolling items players can also alter the identity of any equipment by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change its identification from a weapon to an armor, or reverse it. Its base stats and requirements will remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who have the gear in question.
The player can also upgrade their level of the item for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by interacting with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. This will cost a set number of crests and Valorstones dependent on the upgrade track and item kind. Each upgrade will add 5% more damage to weapons.
The upgrade of an item will make it more powerful, but it will also lower its quality. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading however, others will need to be upgraded in order to maximize their potential. For example an individual player may wish to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to explore the possibilities of what it can be.
The primary reason why people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to acquire a certain character or weapon that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods do not always want to cooperate. The only alternative is to invest money or grind a lot. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can decide to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to to increase the value of rare items, but since gear in general drops fairly quickly and is only upgraded after a certain amount of levels it is likely that you will replace the item before it gets old enough. It's not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will outweigh the higher ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
If you click the upgrade button on an item, you'll get a small screen with the item's upgrade item level upgrade (scientific-programs.science) template and the cost of Valorstone and crest to boost the level of the item. The cost of upgrades will vary based on the armor and weapons and the latter typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template lists the stats that can be added to an upgraded item, and also the current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For example weapons with an increase of 8% will decrease its value by 8-8%.
In addition to the base ilvl increase, the item will also be upgraded in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage and dodge, block and parry rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will be able to sustain after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost and upgrade percentages. Aside from practice equipment, all other weapons and armor gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than an unupp'd version. This is also true for other armor pieces, such as circlets and tiaras.
