The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and automatic vacuum and mop robot without needing your attention, and will leave your floors spotless. Its surprisingly affordable price and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Be sure to regularly inspect your robot's brushes for tangled hair and large particles and wash them if required. Some models will also empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in a larger bin at the bottom. This reduces the amount fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they employ smart mapping technology to design precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it detects a lot of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our tests on floors that are bare, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on an Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also extremely quiet and operates while you are at work or in school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be changed for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also features self-emptying dustbins as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot vacuum for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This highly efficient combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it also learns your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to similar models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when it's in a carpeted area, which helps prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is perfect to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a great cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically fills up its base, and also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums it, something we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competition's compact models This mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive looking models in our tests. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features, like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robot vacuum mop cleaner robot/mop that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and better-looking. If you're willing some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and identify obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused with obstructions or power cords.

Its vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also has a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the house depending on how dirty the areas tend to be.

For larger homes it's recommended to choose models with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one particular area of your home using the app or voice commands. A stairway mode is useful if you have a large furniture. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be very beneficial.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might think from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad and a rotating motion that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self emptying base that can be washed.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app comes with a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a strong 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it's more likely to be caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuum cleaners best vacuums that we have test. It also has an app that's less intuitive and has a tiny base station that can't double as a bin for emptying.
